Salvador Dali

Salvador Dali is a Spanish-born artist who specialised in surrealist paintings. He uses oil paints to create deeply influenced works of art.

The Persistence Of Memory. Created in 1931

This is one of my favourite pieces of Dali’s work. The is described to depict the fluidity of time as a series of melting watches. Dali said that the melting watches were inspired by camembert cheese melting in the sun.

Dawn Ades is a professor at the University of Essex. She said “The soft watches are an unconscious symbol of the relativity of space and time” this idea would work really well in my poster designs with the idea that we don’t have much time left to stop climate change before it’s too late.
